Hey all!  Long time no see, right?  I’ve had my hands full with summer time fun and lots of canning (with lots more to do!), but I’ve had some pretty sewing time too.

This is the latest bag I’ve finished as a custom order.  This is a Large tote, roughly 20″ x 18″, and it just delightful.

These darling fabrics were picked out and purchased by my client.  She said they were Civil War reproductions bought locally and paired them with pretty dark red and brown solids.

I added a SLQ flower as an added touch of femininity.

I also put in a zipper enclosure for added security.  I was so glad to find this tutorial for the zipper because it allows a zipper in the top without distorting the natural shape of the bag.

Here’s what the inside looks like, so you can see the size.  My client wanted this bag to use as an overnight bag when she and her husband go on vacation this summer!  I think she’ll be able to carry quite a bit in there.

All in all, I am very pleased with how this bag came out.  It really is beautiful.  I’m considering making one for myself in another fabric line.  I really like the simplicity of using only four fabrics, instead of an entire line.

Thank you so much for stopping by…have an awesome day!

I’m also linking up with Elizabeth for…
