Possibly the coolest quilt ever…A finished quilt
I’m all done! This quilt has been so much fun to make, and I was so thrilled to see the reaction of my client this afternoon when she received it!
The circles are all Kona Cotton Solids with a light pink Grunge from Basic Grey.
The foundation circles are hand stitched with all edged turned under and then all the circles layered on top are raw edged and curling nicely.
My client chose a cream colored minky for the backing, so I completed the top and washed it before attaching it the backing. I wanted any shrinking the cotton would do to happen before it was sewn to a fabric that isn’t going to shrink.
I used the Olfa Circle Cutter to cut all the circles and was really pleased with how easy it was to use…plus, it gives you a lot of control over the sizes.
